Louis Vuitton SS22 Show Invite Cup & Ball Game Virgil Abloh

Produced as an invitation to Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2022 menswear show, presented in Paris in June 2021.

This was Abloh’s seventh show for the house, and he built the invitations around the idea of play: some guests received a three-cup magic set with ball, others a deck of cards depicting historical Black figures, and others a jigsaw puzzle of the house’s monogram.

The theme carried into the collection itself, which Abloh later summed up as getting adults to behave like children again. The same SS22 collection was shown again in Miami in December 2021 as “Virgil Was Here,” following his passing in November that year.
