Gucci Large Tennis Bag in Beige GG Canvas, 1970s-80s

Made in Italy by Gucci, likely in the 1970s or early 1980s. The “Made in Italy by Gucci” stamp inside points to this period, though the exact year is unconfirmed. 

A large Gucci holdall in beige GG canvas, trimmed in brown leather, with a leather top panel, leather base and reinforced leather corners. One side has a zipped compartment shaped to hold a racket. The other side has a long zipped pocket, and the main compartment opens along a full-length zip. It has a rolled leather top handle on brass rings, and a leather “Made in Italy by Gucci” tag inside.

Large bag measuring approximately 75 × 35 × 30 cm. 

The bag shows honest wear for its age, mostly on the leather, which is scuffed and darkened at the corners, base and piping. The interior has some staining and discolouration, likely from age and storage, which affects appearance only. One of the two original handle screws has been replaced with a silver one. The handle itself is secure and fully functional.
